Pablo Urbano – Co-founder of Auara: Drinking Water for Disadvantaged Communities

Pablo Urbano and his team founded Auara with the goal of bringing clean water to the world’s most vulnerable communities. Their innovative approach combines social entrepreneurship with sustainability, ensuring that every bottle of water they sell funds projects for access to water in developing countries. To date, Auara has funded 140 projects in 23 countries , improving the lives of tens of thousands of people in places where access to clean water is scarce or non-existent.

Auara’s vision goes beyond selling water; it seeks to raise awareness about the global water crisis. Instead of generating income only for its founders, Auara reinvests 100% of its dividends into social projects. In addition, the bottles they sell are made from 100% recycled plastic, thus reducing the company’s environmental impact.

One of Auara’s most notable areas of work has been in African countries such as Gambia, Uganda and Morocco, where the lack of access to drinking water has serious consequences for the health and development of communities. Thanks to the funds generated by Auara, wells and filtration systems have been installed that have changed the reality of thousands of people, giving them access to clean water and improving the living conditions of entire communities.

Pablo Urbano and his team’s approach has been widely recognized, and Auara has been awarded multiple prizes for its social impact and commitment to sustainability. Its business model demonstrates that it is possible to combine profitability with a social purpose, and serves as an inspiring example for other entrepreneurs looking to generate positive change in the world.
